Transforming Websites to Maintain Brand Consistency

Maintaining Brand Consistency
Using the Contentful CMS, I assisted in redesigning websites for National Veterinary Associates (NVA) affiliated clinics to align with updated brand standards. This process involved:

  • Restructuring site content: Improving navigation, and ensuring consistency across a large
network of veterinary, pet hospital, and equine facility websites.

  • Attention to accessibility and information architecture: Making sure important information such as services, appointment booking, and clinic details were easy for pet owners to locate and navigate.

  • Consistent Design: Applied standardized themes, typography, and element sizing across multiple websites to maintain brand consistency and reinforce user trust.

Commitment to Quality
Once each site was built, I conducted comprehensive quality assurance testing to ensure the final design functioned properly and adhered to brand and usability standards. Using Confluence, I documented the quality and performance of each site through detailed checklists. This included reviewing layout consistency, verifying responsive behavior across devices, and identifying bugs, broken elements, and visual discrepancies. I recorded findings and collaborated with team members to resolve issues, ensuring that each site met both design expectations and functional requirements before launch..

  • Ensuring Accessibility: Conducting various accessibility tests to ensure the sites adhere to WCAG standards. For example, checking color contrast, alt text, and including captions for videos.

Digitizing Client Forms

I helped eliminate the need for clients and staff to print and manually complete paper forms by converting traditional PDF documents into accessible online forms using Jotform.

  • Streamlining administrative flow: reduce paperwork, and allow clients to submit information ahead of appointments. This improved both operational efficiency for clinic staff and the overall user experience for pet owners by making the process faster, more convenient, and easier to access online.

  • Crafting structured digital formats: I transformed patient intake forms, contact forms, job applications, and consent documents into structured digital formats that could be easily completed from any device.

My Impact

  • Built 15+ clinic websites: Designed and published over 15 websites within the CMS, aligning each with brand standards while improving usability and visual consistency across a large network of veterinary practices.

  • Improved form efficiency: Digitized patient intake, contact, and consent forms, eliminating the need for paper paperwork and enabling clients to submit information before appointments. This streamlined administrative workflows for clinic staff while creating a faster, more convenient experience for pet owners.

  • Conducted detailed quality assurance testing: Performed final-stage QA reviews to ensure websites met brand, functionality, and accessibility standards prior to launch, identifying and documenting bugs, visual inconsistencies, and usability issues that could have impacted the user experience.
